Ricardo Vooght is a Brazilian voice actor, narrator, and dubbing director with a career spanning several decades. Born Ricardo Pereira de Vooght on July 8, 1954, in Rio de Janeiro, he began his career in the early 1970s at the renowned Herbert Richers dubbing studio. Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous other studios, including Delart, VTI, and Sérgio Moreno Filmes, but became most prominently associated with Cinevídeo, where he served as the official narrator from the 1990s onward. In 2014, he also began working as a dubbing director at the All Dubbing studio.
Vooght is widely recognized for his extensive work in animation, particularly for Portuguese dubs of productions aired on Cartoon Network. His notable roles in Western animation include Major Glory in The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory, the second voice of Deadshot in Justice League, Mr. Destino in Justice League Unlimited, Fogo Selvagem in Ben 10: Alien Force, and the Boogeyman in The Powerpuff Girls. He also provided the second dub narration for The Perils of Penelope Pitstop.
In the realm of anime, Vooght has voiced a wide array of characters. His roles include Asaka in various Tenchi Muyo! titles, Risho in the second dub of Yu Yu Hakusho, Andromon in Digimon Adventure 02, and Belzebumon and Guardromon in Digimon Tamers.
