Eduardo Camarão was a Brazilian actor, voice actor, and writer, recognized for his extensive work in dubbing anime and tokusatsu series during the 1980s and 1990s. He passed away in November 2023 at the age of 59.

Camarão began his dubbing career at the Álamo studio in São Paulo, where he became part of a prominent group of young voice actors. He voiced protagonists in several anime released directly on VHS in Brazil. One of his first leading roles in animation was as Masato Mugen in the series Powered Armor Dorvack, known in its Brazilian release as Comando Dolbuck. He also lent his voice to Beat, the android photographer in the 1987 OVA Scoopers.

He was the voice of the pilot Hikaru Ichijou in the feature film The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?, which was released in Brazil on VHS as Macross: A Batalha Final by the Álamo studio. This role is among his most recognized works in anime. Camarão's voice was featured in a wide range of other animated productions. He was the voice of Champ in the series Zillion and had roles in dubs of The Animals of Farthing Wood and As Novas Aventuras da Turma da Mônica.

While his work in anime was significant, Camarão became particularly well-known for dubbing protagonists in live-action tokusatsu series. His most iconic roles include Dan, the Green Flash, in Comando Estelar Flashman and the title character in Machine Man. He also contributed voices to other popular series in the genre, such as Jaspion, Jiraiya, and Jiban.

Beyond performing, Camarão took on leadership roles within the dubbing industry. He served as a coordinator at the Álamo studio for two and a half years, playing a part in its financial recovery. In the early 2000s, he co-founded the Lipsync dubbing studio. He also worked extensively as a locutor, voicing commercials for major brands like Sadia, Correios, and Red Bull.

In the latter part of his career, Camarão expanded his professional activities to include writing and international work. He published a book titled Virtual Killer in 2003. He also worked as a screenwriter in Angola, contributing to various media projects in the country.
