Asami Takano is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Tokyo, born on October 25, 1988. She is affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise. Before becoming a voice actress, she worked as an animator and graduated from the Japan Narration Actor Institute. She made her debut as a voice actress in 2011.

Takano is known for several prominent roles in anime and games. One of her earliest major roles was as Misa Tōdō in the 2014 anime television series Shirobako, a role she later reprised for the 2020 film Shirobako: The Movie. She is also well-known for voicing Frederica Miyamoto in the popular The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls franchise, appearing in the anime, games, and related music releases. In 2020, she was cast as Aimi Fujita in the television series Gekidol and as Kazuma Aoiki in its spin-off original video animation (OVA), Alice in Deadly School.

Beyond these roles, Takano's voice work spans a wide variety of other projects. She has voiced characters in anime such as Charlotte, Food Wars!, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Magi: Adventure of Sinbad. Her work in video games includes roles in major titles like Arknights as Quercus, Azur Lane as Béarn, Digimon Survive as Syakomon, and Princess Connect! Re:Dive as Anya.

As a singer, Takano has performed character songs for the The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls franchise. Her solo single, The Idolmaster Cinderella Master 033: Frederica Miyamoto, charted at number 11 on the Oricon Singles Chart in 2015. She also participated in the performance of the Shirobako ending theme song Platinum Jet as part of the unit Donuts Quintet. In 2017, she performed with other cast members at the Anisong World Matsuri event during Anime Expo.

Takano has also hosted radio programs related to her work, including SHIROBAKO Radio BOX and a program with fellow voice actress Yuko Iida. She holds a first-degree black belt in kyūdō, the Japanese martial art of archery.
