Ute Bronder
Description
Ute Bronder is a German actress and voice actress born in Munich in 1961. She completed her acting training at the Schauspielstudio Gmelin in Munich from 1981 to 1984. Following her training, she was a permanent ensemble member at the National Theatre in Mannheim from 1986 to 1989 and has since worked extensively in theatre, film, and television.
Bronder is widely recognized for her voice work in the German dubs of various anime series and films. Her most prominent role is providing the German voice for the character Max in the Pokémon franchise. She voiced Max in the Pokémon anime television series, as well as in several films, including Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, and the special Pokémon: The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon.
Beyond Pokémon, her extensive voice acting portfolio includes roles in other notable anime. She voiced Helba in.hack//SIGN and its sequel.hack//Unison, Sumika in Haibane Renmei, and Maetel in Harlock Saga. Bronder also contributed to the German versions of Inuyasha as Ayumi, One Piece as Mozu, and Record of Lodoss War as Pirotess. Her work in animation also extends to video games, such as providing voices for various Pokémon in the game Pokémon Channel.
