She also voiced Princess Shalala in the 1989 adventure series Time Quest!. In the comedic series Samurai Pizza Cats, she contributed multiple voices, including those of Karla, Lucille, and the character known as Mama-san.

Beyond these titles, Casillas has an extensive list of anime voice credits. Her work includes roles in Sailor Moon Sailor Stars as Sailor Red Kurou (Lead Crow), Naruto as Suzumebachi, and Dr. Slump as the narrator. She also lent her voice to projects such as Aishiteruze Baby, Bleach, Captain Tsubasa, Dragon League, Ghost Sweeper Mikami, and YAT Anshin! Uchū Ryokō, among others. Her film work includes the anime movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly, in which she voiced a child Raditz.

In addition to her anime work, Casillas is a prominent figure in dubbing for live-action television and film. She is particularly well-known for being the Latin Spanish voice of Phoebe Buffay, played by Lisa Kudrow, in the hit sitcom Friends, a role she performed from the third season onward. Her other notable live-action dubbing credits include providing the voice for Gillian Anderson in The X-Files (from the third season and in the film) and for Mary-Margaret Humes in Dawson's Creek. She has also dubbed Lisa Kudrow in the films Clockwatchers and Hanging Up, as well as other actresses in series such as Daria, Just Shoot Me, and Pacific Blue.

Gisela Casillas was married to the late José Lavat, a highly esteemed Mexican voice actor. Following his passing, she has been an advocate for the rights of voice actors, particularly in speaking out against the unauthorized use of an actor's voice and likeness, such as in the case of her late husband's voice being cloned with artificial intelligence for a political advertisement in 2025.
