Marc Alfos was a French actor and artistic director, primarily known for his extensive work in dubbing for French-language versions of films, television series, animation, and video games. Born on May 20, 1956, in Nanterre, France, he began his career in the mid-1970s and became a highly recognized voice in the French entertainment industry until his death on August 3, 2012.

In the realm of anime and animation, Alfos lent his voice to a wide array of characters. One of his noted roles was as the antagonist Biscus in the magical girl anime series Mahou Shoujo Lalabel, known in French as Le Monde Enchanté de Lalabel. His other prominent work in Japanese animation included voicing Takeshi Ooi in Death Note, the narrator for Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, and the character Bernhardt in Monster. He also contributed to popular series such as One Piece, where he voiced the character Whitebeard in a newer dub, and took on roles in Angie Girl, Black Jack, and Magical Angel Creamy Mami. Beyond strictly anime, his voice was featured in numerous internationally co-produced or Western animated projects, such as Robert "Bob" Parr / Mr. Incredible in the first Incredibles film, the Sergeant in the Toy Story saga, Maurice in the Madagascar films, Rushu in Wakfu, and Max Tennyson in various Ben 10 series.

Alfos was also an immensely prolific voice actor in the video game industry, providing voices for countless characters in major franchises. Some of his notable game credits include Samos the Sage in the Jak and Daxter series, Doctor M in Sly 3, and multiple roles in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. His work extended to games like Assassin's Creed, BioShock, and Mass Effect.

A recurring theme throughout his career was being the regular French voice for several high-profile Hollywood actors, most notably Russell Crowe, Ron Perlman, and Bruce McGill. He also frequently dubbed the voices of actors like Danny Trejo, Luis Guzmán, and Graham Greene. In addition to his on-screen and video game work, Marc Alfos also worked as a director on dubbing projects and was active in theatre.
