Matthew Sharp is a Canadian actor recognized for his work in film, television, and voice acting for anime. Born on November 25, 1968, in Toronto, Ontario, he was educated at Upper Canada College before moving to London to train at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. His early career was rooted in theatre, with appearances in London's West End in productions such as The Miracle Worker and The Boys in the Band.

Sharp's credit in English-language anime voice acting includes the role of Shingo Hojo in the 1985 animated feature GoShogun: The Time Étranger. He provided the voice for the character in the 1996 English dub produced by U.S. Manga Corps.
