Ian James Corlett is a Canadian voice actor, author, and writer with a career spanning several decades, during which he has originated the English voices for numerous iconic characters in animation and anime. Born on August 29, 1962, in Burnaby, British Columbia, he began his career in the entertainment industry in 1984.

Corlett is particularly well-known for his extensive work in anime dubbing produced in Canada. One of his most significant and enduring roles was as the first English voice of the adult Goku in the Ocean Productions dub of Dragon Ball Z, a role he performed from 1996 to 1997. He also voiced Master Roshi in the same series. His other prominent anime credits include Dr. Tofu Ono and Mikado Sanzenin in the Viz Media dub of Ranma ½. He is also recognized for voicing the character Miroku in the series Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, taking over the role following the passing of the original voice actor, Kirby Morrow. More recently, he voiced the character Pilar in the Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. In the early days of anime localization, he also voiced Hikari Daitokuji in the English dubs of the Project A-ko original video animations, including Project A-ko 2: Plot of the Daitokuji Financial Group and Project A-ko 4: Final, produced by Ocean Productions. Another of his anime roles from this era includes the Scarecrow in the series Funky Fables.

Beyond his specific voice work, Corlett was also a writer on the English adaptations of the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series. His voice can be heard across a vast array of animated series beyond anime, such as the title character in Mega Man, Cheetor in Beast Wars: Transformers, Bob in ReBoot, and Andy Larkin in What's with Andy?. He is also the creator of the animated series Being Ian and Yvon of the Yukon. In addition to his work in front of the microphone, he has worked as a writer for shows like Donkey Kong Country. As of 2024, his voice can also be heard as Clutch Powers in Ninjago, AJ in Firebuds, and Fynch in the video game Destiny 2.
