Brenna O'Brien is a Canadian actress and artist born on March 9, 1991, in Brampton, Ontario. She began her acting career at the age of nine, initially performing in local theatre productions and school plays before signing with an agent. Her first film role was in Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed at the age of twelve. Over the course of her career, she has developed a diverse portfolio encompassing voice work in anime and video games, as well as live-action roles in both feature films and television series.
O'Brien is perhaps best known for her long-standing voice role as Rin in the Inuyasha anime franchise. She first voiced the character in the original Inuyasha television series from 2001 to 2004, and later reprised the role for Inuyasha: The Final Act in 2009 and 2010. She continued her portrayal of Rin into the sequel series, voicing the character in both Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act. This role constitutes one of her most significant and enduring contributions to English-dubbed anime.
Beyond the Inuyasha universe, O'Brien has voiced characters in a variety of other animated projects. She played Reverie Ren Metherlence in the 2005 anime series Elemental Gelade.
