Hartmut Neugebauer was a renowned German actor and voice actor, recognized as one of the most prolific voices in German dubbing. Born on September 2, 1942, he passed away on June 22, 2017, in Munich. His career was extensive, encompassing work as a dialogue book author and dialogue director, in addition to his voice acting for numerous films, television series, and animated productions.

In the realm of anime and animation, Neugebauer contributed his voice to several iconic characters for German-language versions. He is notably known for providing the German voice of the Zentradi commander Britai Kridanik in the classic series The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. His other prominent anime roles included the villainous Nemesis in Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, the pirate king Gol D. Roger in One Piece, and the mad scientist Dr. Eggman in Sonic X and related video games. His work also extended to the German version of the French-Japanese series Ulysses 31, where he voiced the character Nono.
