Vinay Murthy is an American film actor, voice actor, and comedian of Indian descent who is based in Tokyo, Japan. He is affiliated with Soli Consultants and is also known for his work as a narrator and performer in stand-up comedy at the Tokyo Comedy Bar. Murthy's career is notable for his involvement in Japanese animation and video game projects, where he frequently provides English voiceovers for characters.

One of his prominent roles is voicing the character Merak in the English dub of the 2017 original video animation (OVA) Azure Striker Gunvolt: The Anime. In this adaptation of the video game, he portrayed the slothful and genius member of the Sumeragi Group. In addition to voicing Merak, Murthy also lent his voice to the role of the Main Operator in the same OVA.

Beyond his work in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series, Murthy has contributed to other video game and anime projects. He voiced the character Clement Rayburn in the game Implosion: Never Lose Hope and provided the voice for Phantom Bomber in Super Bomberman R.
