Rui Oliveira is a Portuguese voice actor, born on September 28, 1964, in Porto, Portugal. He has built an extensive career in dubbing, contributing his voice to hundreds of characters in animation and live-action for the Portuguese market. Before his voice-over work, Oliveira's acting career began on stage in 1986, where he collaborated with various theater companies in Porto and also worked as a puppeteer.
Oliveira is recognized for his long-standing and recurring roles within major franchises. In the Pokémon franchise, he has voiced numerous characters across different series and films. Notably, he provided the Portuguese voice for the character Cross in the film Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!. His other prominent work in this universe includes the roles of Director Oak in the Sun & Moon series and Rotom Drone in Pokémon Journeys.
