Victor Covarrubias is a Mexican voice actor recognized for his extensive work in Latin Spanish dubbing for anime series and films. His career spans several decades and includes a wide variety of roles, from lead characters to memorable supporting figures in major franchises. He began his involvement in anime dubbing at a young age with a small role in the series Future Boy Conan while in Los Angeles. After moving to Mexico City, he continued to build his career, taking on various parts in productions such as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Kid Video. His early work also included a significant role in the live-action series, where he dubbed the character of Officer Ioki. At one point, he temporarily stepped away from dubbing to complete a degree in advertising, subsequently becoming a licensed commercial voice-over artist before fully returning to character work.

Covarrubias is perhaps best known within the anime community for his roles in several long-running and popular series. He has a notable history with the Saint Seiya franchise, having lent his voice to multiple characters over the years. These roles include the Gold Saint Capricorn Shura in the OVAs for The Hades Chapter - Sanctuary, as well as Cancer Death Mask, Lyra Orpheus, and Guilty in various installments of the series. His involvement with the franchise extends to the recent ONA series Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya, where he also voiced Guilty. Another significant and recurring role is that of Kogoro Mouri in the Detective Conan franchise, where he has voiced the character in several films, including Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie and Zero the Enforcer.

Beyond these, Covarrubias has contributed his voice to a vast array of other anime. He is credited with multiple voices in the sports series Eyeshield 21, including Agon Kongo and Kazuki Jūmonji, and also provided narration for the series. He voiced the character Itsuki and the fears warrior Bui in Yu Yu Hakusho, and took over as the second voice for Maximillion Pegasus and played Dartz in Yu-Gi-Oh!. His other credits include Togusa in Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, Akahoshi in Naruto, and roles in series like Gintama', Claymore, Tokyo Ghoul, and Record of Ragnarok, among many others. He also voiced the character Pod, the father of the title character, in the Latin Spanish dub of the Studio Ghibli film The Secret World of Arrietty.
