Renato Montanari was an Italian voice actor known for his extensive work in the dubbing of anime series for the Italian market. He was born in Rovigo, Veneto, Italy, on August 15, 1939.

His career encompassed a wide range of roles in numerous animated series produced in Japan. He provided the Italian voice for characters in the 1982 special Andromeda Stories, where he voiced both Koof and Principe Mailam. He also took on the title role in the Dracula: Sovereign Of The Damned special, voicing Dracula himself.

Montanari's filmography includes significant roles in many popular series. He was the first Italian voice for several key characters in the initial edition of Dragon Ball, including Pilaf, Commander Red, General White, the Turtle Hermit, and the Narrator. His other prominent roles included Zenon in Devilman, Baas Cogez in A Dog of Flanders, Smirre the fox in The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, and Ken Santos in Akakichi no Eleven. He also contributed to the Italian versions of series such as Cyborg 009, Beast King GoLion, Lupin the Third Part II, and Tiger Mask.
