Karin Takahashi is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with Aoni Production. She was born in Kanagawa Prefecture on September 9, 1994. Takahashi's path to the entertainment industry began at a young age; inspired by her grandfather, she listened to theme songs from anime such as Cardcaptor Sakura and Inuyasha, which sparked her initial desire to become an anime singer. While her career aspirations shifted over time, she ultimately decided to pursue acting. She is a graduate of the Department of History in the Faculty of Literature at Rikkyo University.

Takahashi's career began in earnest when she won the first Pony Canyon Voice Actor Audition in 2012 at the age of 17. Her first activity as an entertainer was releasing the song "Kimi to Futari" as part of the duo YURI*KARI. She made her official voice acting debut in 2013 with a role as Yui Natsukawa in the anime series Ace of Diamond. From 2013 to 2016, she was also a member of the music group Trefle.

A significant milestone in her career came in 2016 when she was cast as the voice of the character Nono Morikubo in the popular The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls franchise, a role that spanned the game and its anime adaptations. This role helped raise her profile within the industry. She has since taken on a wide variety of roles across anime, video games, and original net animations.

Her major anime roles are diverse and include Sasame Mitsukuri in Music Girls, Suika in the long-running Dr. Stone series, including Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, Dr. Stone: Ryusui, Dr. Stone: New World, and the original Dr. Stone. She also voices the titular character in Gunma-chan, Kokoro "Shii" Kōki in Do It Yourself!!, Kobeni Higashiyama in Chainsaw Man, Anosillus the 2nd in SSSS.Dynazenon, Miriam Hildegard von Glopius in Assault Lily Bouquet, and the title character in Akuma no Memumemu-chan.

In addition to her anime work, Takahashi has an extensive portfolio in video games, lending her voice to characters like Van Gogh in Fate/Grand Order, Kawami Princess in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, and Lich in Granblue Fantasy. She has also voiced characters in game adaptations of anime franchises she is involved in, such as Assault Lily: Last Bullet.

Takahashi has demonstrated recurring collaborations with specific studios and franchises. Notably, she has been involved with the "Gridman Universe," reprising her role as Anosillus the 2nd in SSSS.Dynazenon, the anime film Gridman Universe, and even in live-action shorts for the home video release, as well as in the game Azur Lane. Her work on the Dr. Stone series also shows a long-term commitment to a single character across multiple seasons and specials. In addition to her acting roles, Takahashi is also a singer, performing character songs for her various roles. For her role as Nono Morikubo in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, she has performed songs such as "Take me☆Take you," "∀NSWER," and "Sukatto Pampan♪" as part of character units.
