Makiko Ohmoto is a Japanese voice actress born on February 1, 1973, in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. She began her career in the mid-1990s, with one of her earliest roles being in the 1995 series Sailor Moon, which marked her debut in the industry.

Over her career, Ohmoto has built an extensive filmography, lending her voice to a wide variety of characters across anime television series, films, and video games. She is perhaps best known internationally as the voice of Kirby in the long-running anime Kirby: Right Back At Ya! and the associated video game series. Another prominent role is that of Sayaka Maizono in the Danganronpa franchise, including the anime adaptation Danganronpa: The Animation and its related video games.

Her voice work also includes a significant number of supporting and recurring characters in many long-running and popular series. Examples include roles such as Makino in One Piece, Micchi in various Crayon Shin-chan films and the television series, Inahime in the Samurai Warriors game and anime adaptations, and multiple characters across different eras of the Doraemon and GeGeGe no Kitarō franchises. She also played Fiine in the Zoids series and has had roles in projects like Detective Conan and Dragon Ball GT.

In addition to her anime work, Ohmoto has a strong presence in video games, frequently voicing her anime roles in game adaptations. Notably, she voices the character Lyn in the Fire Emblem series, including Fire Emblem Heroes and Fire Emblem Warriors, and Viridi in Kid Icarus: Uprising. She also voiced Ness from the EarthBound series in the Super Smash Bros. games.

Ohmoto was previously affiliated with the talent agency atomicmonkey. In June 2022, she announced that she had become a freelancer. In March 2020, she underwent emergency surgery for appendicitis but was reported to be recovering well.
