Ryūji Mizuno

Ryuji Mizuno was a Japanese voice actor born on February 2, 1952, in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. He was a graduate of Nagoya University. Mizuno passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 70 due to sepsis.
Mizuno began his voice acting career in the 1970s and remained active until his death. His body of work includes numerous anime series, video games, and dubbing roles for foreign films and television shows.
Among his most recognized anime roles are Giichi in Naruto and Julius in the 1997 adaptation of Berserk. His other notable anime credits include Meme Midguard in Turn A Gundam, B't Raidoh in B't X, Dr. Ivanoff in Virtua Fighter, Soja in Geisters: Fractions of the Earth, Graf in Last Exile, a minister in Tales of Phantasia: The Animation, a commander in Last Order: Final Fantasy VII, Taishi in Tokko, Shussekisha B in Death Note, Kizoku in Spice and Wolf, Danchou in Tegami Bachi, Nodoguro in the film Lu Over the Wall, and a master in Zombie Land Saga.
In addition to his anime work, Mizuno had an extensive career in dubbing foreign films into Japanese. Some of his dubbing credits included Joseph Goebbels in Downfall, Mr. Leonard Donofrio in Riding in Cars with Boys, Joe Lambert in a television broadcast edition of Die Hard with a Vengeance, and Mr. Lisbon in The Virgin Suicides.
