Gilbert Lachance

Gilbert Lachance is a Canadian actor born on June 18, 1964, who has built a substantial career in the field of dubbing. He is a graduate of the Montreal Conservatory of Dramatic Art, having completed his studies there in 1987.
While Lachance has performed in stage productions such as Phèdre and Le mariage de Figaro, he is best known for his extensive voice work. His career in dubbing began in parallel with his on-screen appearances and encompasses a wide range of roles in popular animated series, including providing voices for the French-Canadian version of The Simpsons. He is the official Quebec voice for several major Hollywood stars, including Johnny Depp, Matt Damon, Tom Cruise, and Josh Brolin.
His notable roles in animated features and franchises include voicing Master Crane in the Kung Fu Panda saga and Gru in Despicable Me. He also portrayed The Joker in the 1993 animated film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. In the Transformers live-action film series, Lachance provided his voice for the Canadian French dub, playing the roles of both Glen Whitmann and Dylan Gould. In the world of video games, he is the voice of Ezio Auditore da Firenze in the Franco-Canadian dubs of the Assassin's Creed series. More recently, he voiced the character Kamek in the Canadian French version of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
