Eriko Hirata is a Japanese voice actress and stage performer affiliated with the talent agency Accent. She was born in Tokyo on December 3, 1977. Her interest in voice acting began during her middle school years when she joined the broadcasting club. In high school, she participated in the theater club. After graduating high school, her parents wished for her to attend university first, so she pursued higher education while researching voice acting training programs. Following a friend's recommendation, she enrolled as part of the first intake class at Shine, the training school affiliated with Accent, marking the start of her professional journey.

Hirata's career encompasses a wide range of voice work in anime, video games, and dubbing foreign productions, in addition to her ongoing work in theater. Her anime roles are varied, including Soyon and the Narrator in The Beast Player Erin, Aoi no Ue in Genji Monogatari Sennenki, and Franca in Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino. She has been a regular presence in the long-running Duel Masters franchise, voicing the character Ben-chan across multiple series from 2011 to 2021, including Duel Masters Victory V3 and Duel Masters Versus Revolution Final. Other notable anime credits include Ko no Naishi in Chōyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi, Shizue Fuwa in the film Loups=Garous - The Motion Picture, and Captain Marvel in the Marvel Future Avengers anime series.

Beyond anime, Hirata has an extensive career in video games, often contributing both voice and motion capture performances. She is known for her work in the Metal Gear Solid series as a motion actor for characters such as The Boss in Metal Gear Solid 3 and as the voice of Crying Wolf in Metal Gear Solid 4.
