He is a classically trained actor who resides in Austin, Texas, and has a background in improv comedy. His career in voice acting is closely linked with the production company Rooster Teeth, where he has been a prominent voice talent for numerous projects.

McCormick's voice acting debut was with Rooster Teeth, originating the role of the character Agent Washington in the long-running web series Red vs. Blue.
