Description
Andrea Imme, also known professionally as Andrea Wick, is a German voice actress born in Berlin in 1977. She has established a notable career in German-language anime dubbing, providing voices for several prominent characters in series that were widely broadcast in Germany during the 1990s and early 2000s.
Imme is perhaps best known for her role as Akane Tendo in the German dub of the classic comedy-action series Ranma ½. This character is the main female lead and the unwilling fiancée of the titular character, Ranma Saotome. Her extensive work in the magical girl genre includes voicing the dual roles of the shy and powerful Hotaru Tomoe and her dark persona, Mistress 9, in the German version of Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. She also took on the role of CereCere, one of the Amazoness Quartet, in the same series.
Beyond these signature roles, her anime portfolio includes a range of characters from popular series of the era. She voiced Manta Oyamada, the small, intelligent, and often panicked best friend of the protagonist, in Shaman King. Her other notable roles include Maya Misaki in The SoulTaker and Kuu, a cheerful and childlike "haibane," in the atmospheric series Haibane Renmei. Imme also contributed to the German dubs of major long-running series, taking on roles such as Felino in Pokémon, Bibi in DoReMi, and Queen in Beyblade, in addition to various minor characters in series like Inu Yasha and One Piece. Her body of work makes her a recognizable figure in the German anime dubbing community for her contributions to many beloved series of that period.
