Yuuya Yoshikawa
Description
Yuuya Yoshikawa is a former Japanese voice actress born on June 4, 1979, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She graduated from the training school Kirakira Melody Gakuen as part of its second generation of students. Early in her career, Yoshikawa was affiliated with TAB Production before moving to the agency Atomic Monkey.
Yoshikawa voiced various characters in anime series during the early 2000s. She is known for the role of Misora Tsukishima in the 2002 series Mao-chan, also known as Rikujou Boueitai Mao-chan. She also played the role of Melon in the 2004 series Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite, a remake of the original Hanaukyo Maid Team. In addition to voice acting, she performed on the ending theme song for this series, titled Osewashimasu!, alongside fellow voice actors Kozue Yoshizumi and Mai Kadowaki.
Other notable anime roles include Mint in Gen`ei Toushi Bastof Lemon (2001), several minor characters including Shitou Miyoko in Narutaru: Mukuro Naru Hoshi Tama Taru Ko (2003), a Girl in Texhnolyze (2003), and a role in Dejimon furontia (Digimon Frontier) (2002). She also appears in the cast of Muv-Luv Alternative (2006). Early in her career, she used the alias Kurasawa Haruka for certain voice work, particularly in adult games and anime. She also used the aliases Michiru, Shimomura Risa, and Narugawa Kuu.
Yoshikawa retired from voice acting in April 2006. The decision came after she moved to Okinawa to pursue a personal dream and found it too difficult to continue her voice acting career while living there.
