Valeria Perilli is an Italian voice actress, born in Rome on January 31, 1954. She is a daughter of the film industry, being the child of screenwriter and director Ivo Perilli and actress Lia Corelli.
Perilli is particularly renowned for her extensive voice work in animated series, especially those that aired in Italy during the 1980s. Among her most recognized anime roles is the character Jun the Swan, also known as Pretty June, the sole female member of the science ninja team in the series Gatchaman and its sequel Gatchaman Fighter. Her other notable roles in the anime genre include the characters of Margaret "Meg" March and Beth March in different adaptations of Little Women, Odile, and Sig.ra Milligan in the series Manga Sekai Mukashi Banashi, as well as the princess Charlotte de Polignac and the character Diane in the Italian dub of the classic series The Rose of Versailles.
In addition to animation, her voice acting career in television is extensive. She is widely recognized as the Italian voice of the cynical and pragmatic lawyer Miranda Hobbes in the popular series Sex and the City and as the character Lalla in the sitcom The Nanny. Her career also included a long tenure as a television announcer, often referred to as a signorina buonasera, for the Italian broadcaster Rai from 1984 to 1991.
