Krause is most recognized for his role as the voice of Tsukasa, the protagonist of the.hack franchise. He voiced this character in two different installments: first in the 2002 television series.hack//SIGN and later in the 2003 short film.hack//Unison. Another significant lead role in his career was providing the German voice for Ayato Kamina, the main character of the mecha anime series RahXephon, also from 2002.

In the fantasy genre, Krause voiced the character Orson in the television series Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight.
