Robert Wicks is a pseudonym for Robert Buchholz, an American voice actor who has been active in the anime dubbing industry since at least the late 1980s. He is also known by the names Bob Buchholz and the pseudonyms Rich Buckloid and Randolph Brandon. In addition to voice acting, Buchholz has worked as a voice director, script writer, story editor, and producer.

Buchholz is perhaps best known for his starring role as Gene Starwind in the English dub of the space western series Outlaw Star. This character is the brash, womanizing, and reluctant captain of the titular ship who wields a powerful antique gun known as a Caster. Another prominent role from this era is Beck Gold, a recurring antagonist and rival to the protagonist Roger Smith, in the neo-noir mecha series The Big O. He is also recognized for voicing the supporting character Ryu in the English dub of the landmark cyberpunk film Akira. Ryu is a member of the resistance group and a close associate of the character Kei.

Beyond these signature roles, Wicks has a deep filmography as a character actor, providing voices for numerous additional television series and films. He is the voice of Paz in the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex television series and its sequel films Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 and Solid State Society. Other notable anime roles include Hubb Lebowski in Wolf's Rain, Zenki in Zenki, Ogma in the Netflix dub of Beastars, Sora Hitoshi in Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl, and Tom Wiles in the legendary series Cowboy Bebop. He also voiced a variety of monsters and side characters in the early English dubs of Digimon: Digital Monsters and its associated films.

In addition to his prolific work in television, Buchholz has contributed to the English dubs of numerous feature films. Aside from Akira, his movie credits include Perfect Blue, A Whisker Away, Penguin Highway, and children's films such as Digimon: The Movie.

Beyond performing, Robert Buchholz has worked extensively behind the scenes in the anime industry. He is the owner of a production company called Spliced Bread Productions. He has also served as a voice director and a script writer, contributing his writing talents to shows like Duel Masters.
