Enrique J. Lles

Description
Enrique J. Lles is a Spanish voice actor known for his extensive work in the dubbing of anime series for the Spanish market. His birth name is Enrique Javier Lles. Lles began his career in voice acting in 1991. Prior to entering the field, he had been studying to become a telecommunications engineer, but he decided to try dubbing out of curiosity during a sabbatical year, an experience that ultimately launched his professional path.

Among his earliest works in animation were roles in series such as Flash Gordon and Jules: Vida de perros. He also dubbed live-action performances, providing the Spanish voice for actors including Timothy Dalton, Stephen Collins, and Anthony Edwards. Lles is most prominently recognized for his substantial contributions to the Spanish dub of the Slayers franchise, where he voiced a wide array of characters across multiple series and seasons. His major roles in this franchise include the complex villain Rezo the Red Priest, a copy of Rezo, and the enigmatic and powerful mazoku Xellos. He voiced Xelloss in The Slayers Next and Xellos in The Slayers Try. In a 2008 interview, Lles explained that his interpretation of Xellos was guided by the character's visual design, attitude, and the script, noting that the character’s nature and the script allowed him to add color to the performance, making it an enjoyable role. He also portrayed numerous other characters throughout the Slayers series, including Elc (the father of Sylphiel), Philionel El Di Saillune, Zolf, Seigram (second voice), and many others. His work on the show led to professional relationships and friendships with colleagues, an experience he described as a positive influence on his career.

Beyond the Slayers franchise, Enrique J. Lles has provided voices for several other notable anime series in their Spanish dubs. He played the role of Kazuya Hatta in the romantic comedy series Kimagure Orange Road. In the long-running series One Piece, he voiced the character Dolton. His other anime credits include roles in Case Closed as Ray Curtis, in Digimon Adventure as Marine Devimon, and in MegaMan NT Warrior as both BlasterMan and SkullMan. He also performed non-anime voice work, such as providing the Spanish voice for Batman in the video game Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe.
