Sakata began her voice acting career in the early 2000s. Her first known television anime role was a student in the series PIANO in 2002. She would go on to take on a variety of supporting roles over the following years. One of her most recognized performances is as Kaneru Nido in the 2007 comedy series Dojin Work, which centers on the world of amateur comic publishing. That same year, she also provided voices for the popular long-running franchise Pokemon, playing the Pokemon Drifloon and Bidoof in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
