Chizu Yonemoto is a former Japanese voice actor, as well as a screenwriter and novelist. Born on August 23 in Hiroshima Prefecture, she was affiliated with the agency Aoni Production at the time of her voice acting career, having graduated from that company’s training school, the Aoni Juku Tokyo School. She retired from voice acting on September 10, 2022, and currently writes amateur novels under the pen name Nakahara Maki.

Yonemoto’s career as a voice actor included a range of notable roles in both anime and video games. In animation, she is known for the role of Amick Hendar in the series Blue Gender. She also voiced the character Izanami-no-Okami in Persona 4 The Animation and reprised this role for Persona 4 the Golden Animation. Her other significant anime roles include Raina in Record of Lodoss War Chronicles of the Heroic Knight and Matsuoka Chie in the series Sentimental Journey. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, she appeared in supporting roles in long-running series such as Chibi Maruko-chan, Crayon Shin-chan, and Neighborhood Story.

Yonemoto had an extensive career in video games, often appearing in major franchise titles. She provided the voice for the character Matsuoka Chie in multiple games from the Sentimental Graffiti series. She was a long-time voice for Zhu Rong in the Dynasty Warriors series, from Dynasty Warriors 2 onward, as well as in the Warriors Orochi crossover series. Her other prominent video game roles include Kilika Rouran in The Legend of Heroes Trails series, Baiken in Guilty Gear XX Λ Core, and Hermes Costello in the fighting games JoJo s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle and JoJo s Bizarre Adventure Eyes of Heaven. Yonemoto also worked in foreign language dubbing, providing the Japanese voice for the character Peach in the 1992 film Crossing the Bridge and for the character Hua in the 1996 film Ashes of Time.

Beyond voice acting, Yonemoto established a career as a writer. She is credited as the screenwriter for stage musical adaptations of the popular Pretty Cure franchise.
