Rena S. Mandel, also known professionally as Rena Strober, is an American actress, voice actress, and singer. She was born on March 24, 1976, in Middletown, New York, and later relocated to Los Angeles, California. Her career spans stage, television, animation, and video games, but she is perhaps most widely recognized by anime fans for her work in English dubs, particularly her performance as the villain Esmeraude in the Sailor Moon franchise.

Mandel has a robust background in musical theater. Before establishing herself in voiceover, she performed on Broadway as Cosette in Les Misérables and toured nationally with Fiddler on the Roof in the role of Tzeitel. She also originated a role in the pre-Broadway production of Zhivago, for which she received an Outer Critics Circle Award. Her stage work extends to off-Broadway and various Los Angeles theater productions.

In the realm of anime, Mandel is best known for her work on the Viz Media English dub of the Sailor Moon series. She voices Esmeraude, a primary antagonist from the Black Moon Clan arc, in both the redub of the classic Sailor Moon R series and the newer adaptation, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal. Her involvement with the franchise also includes minor roles in other seasons, such as U Tahime in Sailor Moon S and Elephanko in Sailor Moon SuperS. Outside of Sailor Moon, her anime credits include the role of Mira in an episode of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl and Sakura in the series Shimajirō no Wow!.
