Aaron Phillips is an American voice actor known for his work in English dubs of anime and animated series, as well as in video games. He was born on September 3, 1982. Information about his early life indicates that he was raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and later resided in New York City. He is also known professionally by the name Ben Phillips, and these two names are used interchangeably to credit his various roles. Phillips entered the voice acting industry following a period living in South Korea, where he worked at an English education park and discovered his aptitude for voice work.

Phillips has built a substantial career in anime dubbing, often in collaboration with NYAV Post, a New York-based audio production company known for its work on unionized dubs. One of his earliest and most prominent anime roles was as the protagonist Shinn Asuka in the NYAV Post dub of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. This role established his long-standing connection to the Gundam franchise, which continued years later when he voiced Federation officer Kenneth Sleg in the 2021 film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway.

Another significant role that brought him wider recognition is that of the charismatic and enigmatic con artist Laurent Thierry in the acclaimed 2020 anime series Great Pretender. His filmography also includes a wide range of other anime and animation roles. He has been a recurring presence in the Pokémon anime franchise, providing voices for numerous characters including Hobbes, the butler of Lillie, in Pokémon Sun & Moon and its sequel series. He also voiced Richard Aldana in the French-American animated series Lastman and Greede Kirkwayne in the 2024 series Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture. In anime films, his credits include Raymond in Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution and the fox in the 2021 film Belle.

Beyond dubbing, Aaron Phillips has an extensive portfolio in video games, often credited under his Ben Phillips alias. He is widely recognized by gamers for his performance as the charismatic Black Dragon Prince Wrathion in the World of Warcraft expansions Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria. His other game credits include roles in major titles such as Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, as well as the training bot in Overwatch.

In addition to his voice work, Phillips is a multifaceted performer and creative artist. He has performed as a singer in touring productions, including the "Disney in Concert" series, performing music from Disney films with symphony orchestras. He is also a photographer and a writer, having worked on projects such as a children's book and short plays. This range of skills and his active participation in fan events, such as appearing at Japan Society for a Gundam Hathaway Q&A session, highlight his engagement with the broader creative community and his audience.
