Description
Greede Kirkwayne occupies the role of "Weiss Pawn" within the Neo-Britannian Empire's Einberg Order. He is the older brother of Gran Kirkwayne, the faction's "Schwarz Pawn."
Greede possesses long crimson red hair with front locks. His distinctive white military uniform features gold accents, a high collar, shoulder epaulets, and wide cuffs distinguished by dark green trim, contrasting with his brother's red accents.
More reserved and methodical than Gran, Greede displays pragmatic brutality. During an early occupation, he attempts detached negotiation with a widow whose husband Gran killed; when she spits on him, he kills her without hesitation. He later exhibits stress and irritation when the mercenary Roze counters his Knightmare frame combat strategies.
Primarily a strategist rather than a frontline Knightmare pilot, Greede provides tactical oversight for Neo-Britannia, commanding operations against Japanese resistance. He orders Gran to execute a defenseless man off a bridge before the victim's wife, then authorizes the massacre of other captive civilians.
His narrative concludes when Roze—revealed as Sakuya Sumeragi—corners him. Activating her Geass ability, she presents him a choice: atone by saving one hundred times more Japanese lives than he has taken, or die. Overwhelmed by hatred and rejecting redemption, Greede chooses suicide, finalizing his role as an antagonist.
