Alain Mesa is an American actor who has built a career spanning on-screen performances, voice-over for video games, and English dubbing for anime and live-action series. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, he is of Cuban descent and began acting at the age of ten. He attended the New World School of the Arts before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Florida International University. In 2010, Mesa moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally and continued his training under coach Ivana Chubbuck.

He began working in voice acting in 2013, and his career has since expanded significantly within the animation and video game industries. In anime, Mesa is known for taking over the role of Yasutora Sado, also known as Chad, for the English dub of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War beginning in 2022. He assumed the role from the previous voice actor, Jamieson Price, who stepped down to allow for more authentic representation of characters of color. Mesa’s other notable anime roles include the character Salazar in the Netflix series Great Pretender, the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi in the Netflix anime Onimusha, Shiro in The Elusive Samurai, and Blue Keeper in Go! Go! Loser Ranger!.

Beyond anime, Mesa has an extensive portfolio in video game voice acting and performance capture. He is widely recognized for his role as Colonel Alejandro Vargas in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, a part that involved both voice-over and full performance capture. His other prominent game credits include Victor Garcia Hernandez in Forza Horizon 5, Norberto Puente in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, as well as roles in major titles such as Red Dead Redemption II, Tom Clancy's The Division, Fallout 76: Skyline Valley, and Detective Pikachu Returns. In addition to original voice work for games and animation, Mesa works extensively in live-action dubbing, providing English voices for hundreds of feature films and television series from around the world, collaborating with studios such as Roundabout Entertainment, VSI Group, Deluxe Media Entertainment, and Iyuno.

His performance as Alejandro Vargas in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II garnered critical recognition and became a fan favorite, earning him a nomination for Best Performance in a Leading Role at the 19th Annual BAFTA Games Awards. This nomination stands as a significant achievement in his voice acting career.
