Description
Kōko Kikuchi is the stage name of a Japanese voice actress who began her career in the 1960s and became known for her versatile performances in classic anime, tokusatsu, and foreign drama dubbing. She originally performed under the name Kōko Kikuchi before later working under the name Kyōko Kagawa. She trained at the Tokyo Announce Academy and was a member of the theatre troupe Theatre Echo before becoming a freelance artist.
Her anime career includes numerous notable roles from the 1970s and 1980s. She is known for playing Genki Saotome and Kazuko Saotome in the Getter Robo series, Chūta in The Adventures of Gamba, Poppins in Angie Girl, Michiko Arai in Planet Robot Danguard Ace, and Mrs. Kōchi in Microid S. Other significant parts include Goma and Shippona in Himitsu no Akko-chan as well as roles in Candy Candy and Queen Millennia. Her voice work often featured young boy characters and motherly figures. She also contributed to live-action tokusatsu productions, providing voices for monster characters and narrators in Super Sentai and Kamen Rider series, including Kamen Rider (Skyrider). Her dubbing work includes international films and television series.
