Silke Dornow

Silke Dornow is a German actress and voice actress born in 1961 in Cologne, Germany. She completed her acting training at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Her career includes extensive work in television, theater, radio drama, and dubbing.

As a voice actor, Dornow is known for her work on the German dubbing of anime series. She provided the German voice for the character Meiko Kajiwara in the anime series Ai Shite Knight, also known as Rock n Roll Kids. Additional anime voice roles include a student named Sei Hirayama in the series City Hunter - Ein Fall für Ryo Saeba.

Beyond anime, Dornow's voice acting credits include numerous German audio dramas produced by Westdeutscher Rundfunk, with notable works such as Barockkonzert in 1985 and Lolita in 1999. She also collaborated extensively with Stefan Siegert and Ilja Richter on a series of childrens opera guides released as audiobooks. Her contributions to this series include productions like Der Freischütz, where she voiced the character Motte, as well as Holzwurm der Oper: Rigoletto, Der fliegende Holländer, Carmen, and Hänsel und Gretel. For her work on these childrens opera guides, she received the Echo Klassik award in the category Klassik für Kinder in both 1997 and 2003.

In addition to her voice work, Dornow has appeared in numerous German television series and films, including Verworrene Bilanzen in 1985, the two-part television film Schwarzenberg in 1989, and the series Verbotene Liebe from 1997 to 1998. She has also performed on stage, appearing at the Munich Residenztheater in a 1987 production of Molières Tartuffe.
