Luise Charlotte Brings is a German voice actor and dialogue director whose career in synchronization began in the late 1980s. Her entry into the field came before she completed her studies in Germanistik, with early work appearing in various manga adaptations starting at the end of that decade. She is known for providing German voices for characters in a range of anime films and series, particularly for dubs produced in the mid-1990s. Notable roles from this period include the character Hitomi in Appleseed: Kampf um die Freiheit, Susan Sommers in the film Venus Wars, Chiren in Battle Angel, and Sophia in A Wind Named Amnesia. Brings also provided the first German voice for the character Motoko Kusanagi in the VHS version of the film Ghost in the Shell. Her work in the anime genre further includes contributions to long-running series such as Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Bleach.

In addition to her extensive anime work, Brings has an extensive portfolio dubbing live-action films and television series, providing German voices for actresses such as Michelle Yeoh, Maggie Cheung, and Jennifer Coolidge. A significant portion of her later career was dedicated to the German adaptation of the long-running British series Doctor Who. In this capacity, she was responsible for writing the German scripts and directing the voice actors, aiming to capture the wordplay and cultural references of the original series while adapting it for a German audience. Her work on Doctor Who also included providing voice roles for various characters within the series.
