In a primitive village facing a severe food shortage, a prophecy offers the only hope. Inugami’s grandmother declares that a chosen one will save the community with a great animal. The task of fulfilling this prophecy falls to a mismatched group of villagers: the accident-prone but lovable bull terrier Bow, the determined young girl Sayaka, Inugami, and their companion Sabu.

The group sets out on a journey to capture a mammoth, the great animal they believe will end their village’s crisis. While Sayaka takes the mission seriously and expends great effort in the hunt, Bow’s presence leads to constant confusion as he fools around in his usual chaotic manner.

Bow is a bull terrier distinguished by a black circle around his left eye, known for his carefree and accident-prone nature that often creates trouble for those around him. In the television series on which this film is based, Bow is a former stray adopted by Sayaka, the young daughter of a yakuza family. The film transports these characters from their modern yakuza household setting to a prehistoric world, placing their familiar dynamic of determination versus chaos against the backdrop of a life-or-death struggle for survival. The narrative arc follows the group’s expedition as they seek the mammoth, with Sayaka’s focused efforts clashing comically with Bow’s disruptive antics.
