Description
A year has passed since Ayaka’s relentless pursuit finally won over her senior colleague, Hiroko. Now living together, the couple faces a new and unexpected challenge: Hiroko has become so devoted to protecting Ayaka that she refuses to initiate any physical intimacy. While Hiroko dotes on her younger girlfriend by making breakfast and handling the housework, her reluctance to take things further leaves Ayaka confused and worried. Misinterpreting Hiroko’s caution as a lack of desire, Ayaka grows increasingly frustrated, and their inability to communicate openly about their needs creates a growing distance between them.
The situation comes to a head as both women plan trips to Spa Resort Hawaiians. Hiroko travels there for her younger sister Keiko’s long-delayed wedding, accompanied by her young niece Tsumugi, who adores Hiroko and sees Ayaka as a rival for her attention. Meanwhile, Ayaka ends up at the same resort due to a work assignment, accompanied by her junior colleague Misato Ebina. Upon arrival, Ayaka spots Hiroko walking arm-in-arm with an unfamiliar woman, leading her to jump to conclusions about infidelity. The tropical setting becomes a pressure cooker of misunderstandings, forcing both women to confront what they truly want from their relationship.
Adding to the romantic chaos are two original characters introduced for this sequel. Anri, a mysterious and charismatic employee from a major advertising firm, strikes up a chance friendship with Hiroko, sparking jealousy in Ayaka. At the same time, Jun, a legendary figure in the local lesbian bar scene who has returned from years abroad in Los Angeles, takes an interest in Ayaka, making Hiroko feel possessive and threatened. These new arrivals shake up the couple’s dynamic, forcing each woman to confront her own insecurities and the strength of her commitment.
The story is divided into two interconnected arcs. The first three episodes take place at the Hawaiian resort, where the pressure of family obligations and romantic misunderstandings reach a peak. Ayaka eventually introduces herself to Hiroko’s sister and mother, openly declaring her love for Hiroko without pretense, a moment that marks a significant step in their relationship. The remaining episodes return to the couple’s shared home, where they must finally resolve the original source of their tension: their mismatched expectations about physical intimacy and what it means to be a real couple. The resolution comes not from grand gestures but from honest conversation, aided by the innocent intervention of Hiroko’s niece Tsumugi, who helps her aunt understand the simplicity and sincerity of Ayaka’s feelings.
