Description
An aspiring gravure idol named Sakura Katsuragi dreams of appearing on the cover of a magazine, having entered the entertainment industry to inspire others following her past experiences with bullying. She is rescued from a stalker by Shinobu Sumida, a part-time worker and fan of gravure idols whose own dream of becoming a film director has been shattered. Sakura reveals that she is living in poverty, her corrupt talent agency restricts her part-time work, and she is considering giving up on her career. Determined to support her dream, Shinobu decides to pursue a path to stardom alongside her in the gravure idol world. He suggests she move into a shared house where he lives with a friend who works as a photographer's assistant, leading to an unexpected cohabitation with his favorite idol.

The series is set within the Japanese gravure industry, exposing its harsh realities and hidden dangers. As Sakura and Shinobu navigate this world together, they encounter perverted photographers, corrupt managers, and predatory producers. Shinobu finds himself in the role of protector, facing a central question of whether he can safeguard Sakura's chastity from these threats. The talent agency Sakura joined is revealed to have a vile plan for her, while the industry itself is filled with greedy tactics and schemes.

Sakura Katsuragi is a shy and withdrawn young woman whose pure-hearted pursuit of her dream is hampered by financial struggles and a corrupt agency. Shinobu Sumida is a boring part-time worker and dedicated gravure fan who becomes Sakura's unlikely ally and housemate. Other key characters include Ayu Shiina, a popular gal-type gravure idol who exudes a devilish charm but has a dangerous nature and connections to shady individuals; Chico, Shinobu's childhood friend who is a popular influencer with 300,000 followers and becomes a rival to Sakura; and Mio Osaka, a super popular and flawless gravure idol who cares for Sakura while also having a free-spirited side, including developing feelings for Shinobu.

Notable narrative arcs include the development of the relationship between Sakura and Shinobu, who admit their feelings for each other by the end of the series but do not officially become a couple. A significant plot point involves the sudden kidnapping of Sakura, which is resolved in an unconventional manner when her fellow gravure idols, led by Mio Osaka, arrive to rescue her while wearing bikinis. Shinobu attempts to be the hero, but the resolution comes from elsewhere. The story concludes with Sakura smiling, still on her journey without definitive fulfillment in her romance or career, closing with a focus on her image. The series comprises eight episodes of 30 minutes each.
