Description
The third and final installment of the V-Cinema saga begins directly where the previous film concluded, with the young yakuza heir Riki Fudoh locked in a sword fight against his primary adversary, Nohma. The setting remains the violent criminal underworld of Kyushu, where Fudoh operates while maintaining the cover of a high school student, though his ambitions have expanded to conquering the Kanto region of Japan. Having lost most of his female gang members who were systematically eliminated by Nohma's organization, Fudoh is forced to recruit male soldiers to finally eliminate his enemy once and for all. The narrative follows this new alliance as they prepare for a final confrontation, though much of the runtime is devoted to extended dialogue sequences and Nohma observing events from the comfort of his leather chair. The central cast includes Shosuke Tanihara as the clear-headed Fudokuichi, the young head of a Kyokudo family, alongside Riki Takeuchi as his rival and Rei Natsume. A key sequence takes place in a tunnel, featuring a realistically filmed shootout in a documentary style, while a later scene set in a hospital between Fudoh and a survivor from the previous film provides the most substantial character development. The long-awaited revenge against Nohma is ultimately relegated to the final four minutes, where it is resolved in a brief and unsatisfying manner.
