Description
A high school student named Hiromu lives an ordinary life with his older sister. His daily routine is disrupted when a beautiful young girl appears before him, and he is immediately drawn to her charm. As Hiromu grows closer to the girl, his sister becomes alarmed upon seeing her. She recognizes the girl as Shoko Saeki, her own high school classmate who mysteriously vanished five years ago.

Despite his sister’s protests and warnings, Hiromu continues his relationship with Shoko. He begins to spend all his time with her inside his home, falling deeper under her spell. The more entangled he becomes, the more lethargic and possessed he seems, as if something supernatural is draining his life force. Unable to watch her brother waste away, his sister decides to follow him to uncover the truth. In a shocking moment, Hiromu disappears before her eyes like a mirage.

The narrative reveals that Shoko did not simply go missing five years earlier. She was transformed into a witch s doll, a supernatural entity created to serve a dark master. In the climax, Hiromu awakens from his daze to find that Shoko s body has reverted to that of a broken, lifeless doll. The horror deepens when he realizes he has not escaped her fate. Hiromu himself has been transformed into a new doll for the witch, his body reshaped into a slender and beautiful form. The final arc shows him now living as a demon doll, luring an unsuspecting young man on a beach to repeat the cycle of possession and transformation.

The story is set primarily in a contemporary Japanese town, shifting between the mundane reality of Hiromu s family home and the eerie, dreamlike spaces where Shoko exerts her influence. The live-action adaptation notably alters significant plot points and is known for its low-budget production values compared to the animated original.
