Eight years after Izuku Midoriya and his classmates graduated from U.A. High School, the world of My Hero Academia continues to move forward. The special focuses on Eri, the young girl once rescued by Deku from the yakuza boss Overhaul during the Shie Hassaikai arc. Now a high school student herself, Eri visits U.A. High School, the birthplace of so many great heroes, as she takes new steps toward pursuing her long-held dream.

This story is an adaptation of a special one-shot manga created by series creator Kohei Horikoshi for the official fan book My Hero Academia Ultra Age, which was released in December 2024. Eri, once a frightened child abused for her Rewind Quirk, has grown considerably in the years following the final battle against the villains. Having expressed a wish to sing in the past, she is now shown embracing music, carrying a guitar case as she works toward her goal of becoming a musician.

The narrative provides a glimpse into her high school life, highlighting how she continues to be supported by the heroes of the previous generation while forging her own path independent of the traumatic events of her childhood. The special is produced as part of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the My Hero Academia anime and is planned for release in the summer of 2026.
