In a world where humans and supernatural creatures, known as yōkai, coexist, Takahashi Satoru inherits his late father’s apartment building—a rental complex built exclusively for yōkai tenants. Among the residents is Mifuyu Yukino, a beautiful yuki-onna or snow woman who is also a widowed recluse, struggling with severe social anxiety and financial hardship. Satoru is immediately drawn to her, but his clumsy attempts to connect backfire, leading to a painful misunderstanding that drives them apart. While sorting through his father’s belongings, Satoru discovers a strange ring inscribed with the power to control the mind of any yōkai who sees it. He is torn between using the ring to force a relationship with Yukino and his wish to earn her affection honestly. Complicating matters is Kaede Kiryuin, a demon shrine maiden and Satoru’s childhood friend, who wields a family heirloom said to break curses. As the ring’s influence deepens, Satoru and Yukino are pulled into an emotionally charged, awkward romance that blurs the line between genuine connection and supernatural compulsion.
