In "Possessions," a traveling repairman seeks shelter in a dilapidated shrine during a storm. Inside, he encounters sentient, discarded objects that come to life, demanding his attention. The repairman uses his skills to fix these objects, transforming their anger into gratitude. "Combustible" is set in Edo-period Japan and follows two childhood friends, Matsukichi and Owaka, whose lives take different paths.
