Description
Ichika Takatsuki is the main heroine of the story, a girl who arrives as a transfer student to the small town where the narrative takes place. Her true origin, however, is not of this world; she is an alien who came to Earth from the Pleiades star system, driven by a persistent, mysterious image of a foreign landscape that she has carried in her mind since childhood.

In her human guise, Ichika is a tall, striking third-year high school student with long, vivid red hair, which she typically ties in a small ponytail on the left side, and violet eyes. A notable feature of her appearance is the pair of square-rimmed glasses she always wears. Far from a simple fashion accessory, these glasses are an essential piece of alien technology that serves as a real-time translator for Earth languages, allowing her to communicate seamlessly with those around her. She is rarely seen apart from her small, squid-like companion named Rinon, who functions as her partner and a computer terminal for her spaceship.

Ichika’s personality is characterized by a gentle kindness, politeness, and a friendly demeanor that quickly endears her to her new classmates. However, her extraterrestrial nature sometimes reveals itself in subtle, charming ways. She is intelligent and generally level-headed, but can display a quietly serious and unexpectedly strict side, particularly when asked to tutor Kaito. Her most notable quirk is her unique approach to cooking. While her meals are edible and she is a capable cook, her cultural understanding of food combinations is bizarre, leading to dishes that defy earthly culinary logic, much to the bewilderment of her friends.

Her arrival on Earth was not a smooth landing. Her spacecraft crash-landed, an accident that inadvertently struck and nearly killed Kaito Kirishima, a young amateur filmmaker who was filming at the site. In a desperate act, she used her alien abilities to heal his grievous wounds. The next day, she enrolled in his high school as a third-year student, where she found herself in the same class as the mysterious Remon Yamano. When Kaito learned she had nowhere to stay, he spontaneously offered her a room in his home, an offer she accepted. This arrangement was partly practical but also fueled by her lingering concern that her impromptu healing might have left Kaito with unforeseen side effects. Over the course of the summer, she joins Kaito and his friends Kanna Tanigawa, Tetsuro Ishigaki, and Mio Kitahara in their project to make an amateur film, a production in which she fittingly agrees to play the role of an alien visitor.

Throughout the story, Ichika is acutely aware of Kaito's growing romantic feelings for her, but she initially struggles to address them. Having made a promise to Kaito's older sister, Nanami, to take care of him, she attempts to maintain a sisterly, protective relationship with him, treating him like a younger brother. However, as they spend more time living under the same roof and working together, she finds it increasingly difficult to suppress her own emerging emotions. She begins to experience jealousy when she sees Kaito with other girls and becomes flustered when the topic of their relationship arises. Encouraged by her friends, she slowly comes to understand and accept her love for him, culminating in her eventually accepting his romantic confession.

Ichika possesses several notable abilities that hint at her advanced origin. Her most prominent power is a form of regenerative healing. By using nanomachines derived from her own cells, she can transfer this regenerative capability to a human through physical contact, including a kiss, as demonstrated when she saved Kaito's life after his initial injury. She is also a master pilot, capable of operating her interstellar spacecraft. Despite her alien background, she is highly proficient in domestic duties, although her cooking remains a creative anomaly.

Her key relationships anchor her to the human world. Her bond with Kaito Kirishima is the central axis of the story, evolving from one of caretaker and patient to that of genuine, mutual love. Kanna Tanigawa is both a friend and a rival in love, creating gentle friction within the group. Her closest confidante is typically Remon Yamano, a classmate who seems to know far more about her true identity than she lets on. Her sister, Emika Takatsuki, arrives on Earth looking for her, a visit that complicates Ichika’s efforts to keep her secret and ultimately becomes a catalyst for the story’s climax.

Throughout the summer, Ichika undergoes a clear development, transforming from a well-meaning but detached observer of Earth life into a person deeply emotionally invested in the friends she has made. She eventually learns to prioritize her own heart over her mission and the rules of her home world. Her story reaches a poignant resolution when a mistaken distress signal forces her to be repatriated to her home planet. However, she makes a heartfelt promise to return, and the narrative’s final moments imply that she eventually finds a way back to Earth to reunite with Kaito and the others, suggesting her love transcended the boundaries between their worlds.
