Description
C-15, also designated as Android 15 or Artificial Human No. 15, is a fictional antagonist from the 1992 animated film Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!. He is an android created by the computer of the late Dr. Gero, which continued the scientist's work and vendetta against the Saiyan warrior Son Goku after Gero's death. C-15 is one of three androids, alongside C-14 and their leader, C-13, who are activated with the singular mission of killing Goku.

In terms of personality, C-15 is depicted as a silent and obedient soldier. The original Japanese version of the film gives him very little dialogue, limiting his speech primarily to his target's name, Son Goku. Despite his primary programming for combat, he exhibits an eccentric personal quirk: he is frequently seen consuming alcohol from a flask during his mission, adding a layer of unexpected, almost casual behavior to his otherwise menacing purpose. He is utterly loyal to his designated role as a subordinate to C-13, working in perfect synchronization with C-14 to achieve their objective.

C-15’s primary motivation is a direct and unalterable directive programmed into him by Dr. Gero’s supercomputer: to eliminate Son Goku. He has no personal desires or ambitions beyond the completion of this task. His role in the film is that of a formidable adversary in the initial assault against Goku and his allies. He first appears with C-14, attacking Goku and his family while they dine. The battle quickly moves to a northern glacial landscape where C-15 engages in combat with the Z-Fighters. He specifically faces Future Trunks and later Prince Vegeta, holding his own against them until Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan, which gives the Saiyan prince the power needed to destroy the android. Even in defeat, C-15 serves a crucial purpose, as his core components and power reactor are absorbed by C-13, triggering the transformation into the far more powerful Super Android 13.

His key relationship is with his fellow androids, C-13 and C-14. He acts as a loyal teammate and a subordinate to C-13. Their link is not merely cooperative but is also a matter of function, as C-15’s design includes being a component for C-13’s final, more powerful form. There is no significant character development for C-15, as he is a static, single-minded creation who does not evolve beyond his initial programming. He is introduced, fulfills his role as a threat, and is destroyed without any change to his fundamental nature.

C-15 possesses several notable abilities common to Dr. Gero's creations, such as the power of flight without the need to use ki and a limitless, permanent energy reactor. His combat style is complemented by a unique set of specialized techniques. He can deploy a powerful defensive barrier that is capable of nullifying energy attacks, demonstrated when he blocked Future Trunks's assault. He also has the ability to analyze his opponents' battle data in real time, allowing him to predict and counter their movements with high accuracy. His physical appearance is highly distinctive: he is short and stocky, with purple-hued skin, sunglasses, and a large green top hat with a red ball on top. His attire includes a red bow tie featuring the Red Ribbon Army logo, a tuxedo-style shirt, and a long overcoat, giving him a unique and somewhat dapper appearance among androids. A notable design feature is that the top of his head, normally covered by his hat, is a transparent dome that reveals his mechanical interior and electronic circuits.
