Description
Keith Goodman, known professionally as Sky High, is a hero affiliated with the Poseidon Line corporation, a conglomerate that manages transportation systems such as monorails and taxis in Sternbild City. Standing at 175 cm tall, he is celebrated as the Wind Sorcerer for his ability to manipulate air currents. For multiple seasons, he held the title of King of Heroes, a testament to his unmatched popularity and the highest hero points earned in a single season, a position he maintained from his debut until being surpassed by fellow hero Barnaby Brooks Jr.

Sky High is characterized by a genuine, earnest, and deeply polite personality, which often manifests as a formal, almost ceremonious manner of speaking. His most recognizable verbal tic is his signature catchphrase, "Thank you, and again, thank you," which he repeats to ensure his gratitude is fully understood. Although his straightforward and somewhat naive demeanor leads others to describe him as a natural airhead, his sincerity is so profound that his fellow heroes deeply trust his judgment. He carries himself with a serious dedication to his duties; he does not showboat or abuse his powers, instead focusing on the protection of citizens and ensuring even apprehended criminals are not unduly harmed during arrests.

His motivations are rooted in a strong sense of responsibility. He firmly believes that with great power comes great duty, and he consistently places the safety and order of society above his personal glory. This commitment is exemplified by his self-imposed nightly patrols of Sternbild, a habit he maintained even when not required to by his sponsors. His daily routine is regimented and focused on service, involving morning and evening walks with his beloved dog, John, extensive physical training, and those nighttime patrols.

In the narrative, Sky High serves as a paragon of the ideal hero, whose confidence and identity are deeply tied to his role as a protector. His primary story arc involves a significant crisis of faith. After a crushing defeat at the hands of the villain Jake Martinez, followed by the loss of his King of Heroes title, Sky High falls into a deep slump, grappling with self-doubt for the first time. His recovery is facilitated by a poignant and tragic relationship with a young, mute girl he calls Cis. Believing her to be a newly awakened NEXT, he confides his worries in her during their daily meetings, and her few words help him rediscover his self-assurance. He falls in love with her, only to later discover she is an android. In a devastating turn, he is forced to destroy the rampaging machine, never realizing it was the same person who had restored his spirit. This experience allows him to overcome his slump and find a new, stronger sense of purpose.

His relationships with other heroes are defined by respect and loyalty. He is highly regarded by all his colleagues; his opinions often sway group decisions where others cannot. A particularly notable dynamic exists with his buddy, Fire Emblem. Sky High works so hard to be a perfect partner that his flawless conduct inadvertently puts pressure on Fire Emblem, who struggles to live up to that standard. This leads to a necessary conversation where Sky High admits his own imperfections and that he was trying too hard to be liked, revealing his vulnerability and deep desire for genuine camaraderie.

Sky High possesses the NEXT power of wind manipulation. He can compress air to create powerful blasts for long-range attacks or form defensive barriers. His signature one-hit special move is also named Sky High. A specific limitation of his ability is that he cannot generate thrust; he can only float or hover in the air. Consequently, he relies on a jetpack mounted on his back for propulsion and true aerial maneuverability. His powers first manifested when he was eighteen years old, and he has since honed them through relentless training and effort to maintain his professional standing.
