Gō Inoue
Description
Gō Inoue is a Japanese voice actor born on April 19, 1978, in Saga Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Sigma Seven and has been active in the voice acting industry since 2002. His initial inspiration to pursue voice acting came from a childhood passion for video games, as he became interested in the voices he heard in games during his junior high school years. To achieve his goal, he moved to Tokyo to study at the Amusement Media Academy. He began his career with the agency Stardas 21 before moving to his current agency, Sigma Seven.
Inoue has built a career with a wide range of roles, from heroic figures to memorable antagonists. He is particularly well-known for his role as Spain (Antonio Fernández Carriedo) in the long-running Hetalia series, a role that brought him a notable moment of recognition when fans flooded his social media with congratulations after Spain won the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He also voices the character Keith Goodman, known as the hero Sky High, in the Tiger & Bunny franchise, a role he has reprised for the original television series, multiple films, and the sequel series Tiger & Bunny 2. In the sports anime Kuroko's Basketball, he provides the voice for Satoshi Tsuchida and also took on the role of Eiji Shirogane.
His versatility is further demonstrated by his performance as the villainous Hero Killer Stain in the globally popular series My Hero Academia, as well as Komui Lee, the eccentric supervisor of the Black Order, in D.Gray-man Hallow. In the fantasy action series Rage of Bahamut, he voices the knight Kaisar Lidfard across both its first season, Genesis, and its sequel, Virgin Soul. Other significant roles include Kyoichi Hiba in Kekkaishi, Madara Uchiha as a young boy in Naruto Shippuden, Kugura in Arata The Legend, Toshihisa Negi in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Blue Keeper in the 2024 series Go!
