Description
Chris is a central character introduced in the second season of the anime, initially appearing under a veil of mystery. More than a century old, she is widely recognized as the most powerful Masou-Shoujo, or Magical Garment Girl, in existence, a figure feared by all others of her kind. Her backstory is rooted in a failed coup d'état against the Queen, a rebellion that was actually orchestrated by her former student, Ariel. As punishment for her role as the purported leader, Chris was cursed to spend her sober hours trapped in the body of a plain, middle-aged man.

Under this cursed identity, she assumes the name Takeshi Kurisu and poses as a teacher at Ayumu Aikawa's school. In this form, she is a bespectacled, unassuming figure. However, a quirk of her curse allows her to temporarily revert to her true, powerful form when she is under the influence of alcohol. It is in this original state that she manifests as a young girl with bright pink, curly hair tied in three tails on one side, sky blue eyes, and wearing a white nurse's uniform and hat.

Her personality is multifaceted, shifting dramatically between her cursed and true states. In her male guise, she presents a delicate and subdued front, often appearing drunk and melancholy. It is in this persona that she first encounters the protagonist, Ayumu, who is struggling with a deep depression and questions his own worth. Chris assumes the role of an impromptu counselor, listening to his problems and offering advice in a series of surreal meetings that lead Ayumu to believe she might simply be a figment of his imagination, a fairy he refers to as Yōsei-san. In her true form, however, she is far more sinister and playful. Freed from her curse, she is not motivated by pure evil but by a desire for freedom and revenge against Ariel for taking the fall. She is hell-bent on having fun at Ayumu's expense, wielding her immense power with a carefree and chaotic demeanor.

Chris's role in the story is that of a formidable antagonist, though one whose arc is notably underdeveloped and left without a clear resolution. After establishing a connection with Ayumu as his counselor, she orchestrates her full resurgence during the school festival. By stealing a device that Haruna created to absorb magical energy, Chris reclaims her lost powers and reveals her true identity as an enemy. Her primary motivation becomes not world domination, but settling the score with Ariel, who is also the master of Seraphim, a main character, and proving her dominance, though the narrative does not fully explore these intentions. Her key relationships are defined by betrayal and conflict. She was once the mentor to Ariel, who later betrayed her, making Ariel her primary target for revenge. Her connection to Ayumu is complex, evolving from a therapeutic, if deceptive, friendship to an adversarial one as she becomes the most powerful foe his group has ever faced.

The character shows little development within the anime's runtime, largely serving as a plot device that unites the final episodes of the season. Her sudden appearance as a villain, combined with her unexplained departure and the abandonment of her storyline, leaves her feeling more like a temporary obstacle than a fully realized character. Regarding her abilities, Chris is explicitly stated to be the strongest Magical Garment Girl, possessing power so immense that a fight between her and Nebiros, a powerful being from the underworld, would be catastrophic enough to cause a global holocaust. Her strength is such that the main group is forced to seek outside help, as they are completely outmatched. She can single-handedly lay waste to the entire world. A notable trait is her consistent inability to get Ayumu's name right, an eccentricity that persists throughout her appearances.
