Description
Judia is a character from the anime series Ragnarok The Animation, taking on the role of a Hunter. She is a young woman with blonde or yellow hair that falls to her shoulders and brown eyes. Her appearance as an archer is often accompanied by her falcon companion, which she calls Falco. Her outward personality is notably sassy and outspoken; she wears her emotions on her sleeves and is not afraid to voice her dislikes or opinions plainly. This directness often manifests as a quick temper, marking her as one of the more spirited members of the group. In the original Japanese version of the anime, this fiery personality is reflected through her use of a Kansai regional accent.

Judia’s background is directly tied to her relationship with the skilled assassin Iruga. Before meeting him, she was a terrible hunter with poor abilities. Their first encounter occurred when she was kidnapped by a group of bandits in the Labyrinth Forest and nearly fed to a pack of hungry wolves. Iruga rescued her from this perilous situation, and after this event, her skills with a bow improved dramatically under his influence. It is during this time that she falls in love with him, developing a deep-seated affection that becomes her primary motivation. She later joins the main party of adventurers primarily to support Iruga, understanding and committing herself to his personal quest to redeem his troubled friend Keough.

Within the main group, which includes the swordsman Roan and the acolyte Yufa, Judia’s key relationships are defined by her connection to Iruga. She is intensely protective of her bond with him, leading to moments of jealousy, such as when Yufa holds Iruga’s hand and calls him brother. Despite this friction, she becomes a steadfast ally, using her hunting expertise to help the party face various threats, including the demon Baphomet. Throughout the journey, Judia demonstrates notable abilities beyond archery; she is also capable of fortune-telling using tarot cards, a skill associated with Minstrels or Gypsies in the world of Ragnarok.

As the story progresses, Judia shows significant development both in skill and in her personal life. She transitions from an incompetent novice to an excellent hunter with incredible accuracy with her bow. Her character arc culminates with her achieving her personal goals; by the end of the anime, she has Iruga’s child, solidifying the future she had hoped for.
