TV-Series
Description
The Black Trike operates as a three-wheeled Hemiteos Unit support vehicle exclusively assigned to Empress, featuring two front wheels and one rear wheel. It dynamically shifts between Gravel Mode for uneven terrain and Tarmac Mode for paved surfaces. Offensive armaments include forward-firing machine guns before the driver seat and retractable side-mounted machine guns. As a Hemiteos Unit machine, it performs self-repairs using nearby available materials.
Advanced artificial intelligence grants it speech, environmental analysis, and autonomous operation. Its candid, excitable AI vocalizes reactions during combat or high-stress situations and demonstrates fierce loyalty to Empress, prioritizing her safety and refusing her loss. Unlike counterparts such as Dead Master's Motorbike and Strength's Buggy—which comprehend language but lack speech—the Black Trike communicates verbally.
Following Artemis's rebellion, the vehicle evacuated Empress to Area X after she suffered irreversible damage from prolonged Overdrive Key use. She remained there in incubation for years. Emerging from Area X's ruins in 2062, it rescued Empress from Unmanned Forces, then aided her escape with Norito and Miya before joining the Colonel and Monica Kaburagi to sabotage Artemis's Orbital Elevator.
During this mission, Smiley of the Education Institution severely damaged its powertrain. Repairs required scarce rare-earth elements, forcing a diversion to salvage components at the Peacebuilding Force Memorial Library. Restored, it supported Empress until plummeting into an Iron Ocean during the Orbital Elevator's final battle.
Recovered by 2112, the vehicle underwent overhaul into the spacecraft Black Trike IFA-48, gaining a cockpit and beam weaponry. It launched carrying Norito, Charlotte, Miya, Dead Master, and Strength for humanity's counteroffensive against Artemis.
